The Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers will get the weekend NBA betting slate underway on Friday night as the teams meet in Boston for the first time this season.
In years past the Pacers have had a lot of trouble picking up wins over the Celtics, going 2-8 in the past 10 meetings between the Eastern Conference clubs. Indiana and Boston split those contests 5-5 against the spread on the NBA betting boards at online sportsbooks such as Bovada.
Indiana, though, did manage to beat Boston 107-100 at home as a 1.5-point underdog when they last hit the hardwood back in late March. The combined score of that game went OVER the night's posted total of 186, and the OVER/UNDER is 5-5 in the last 10 contests between the teams.
Elsewhere around the NBA on Friday it'll be Atlanta at Charlotte, New Jersey at Toronto, New York at Washington, Detroit at Philadelphia, Cleveland at Minnesota, Houston at Oklahoma City, Chicago at Orlando, Denver at New Orleans, Memphis at Utah, Golden State at the Lakers, and Portland at Phoenix.
The Pacers will then be right back in action on Saturday night, as they'll play host to Charlotte on an NBA betting slate that also includes Chicago at Atlanta, New York at Detroit, Miami at New Jersey, Oklahoma City at Houston, Toronto at Philadelphia, New Orleans at Dallas, Utah at Golden State, Milwaukee at the Clippers, and Denver at San Antonio.
The Nuggets put an end to a five-game losing streak against the Spurs in their last meeting back in March, winning 115-112 at home as a 6-point favorite at online sportsbooks such as Bovada. Totals bettors saw the game as an easy OVER result.
San Antonio, though, is 6-4 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 games against Denver. The OVER/UNDER went 4-6 over those 10 contests.
The Spurs then have a game in Oklahoma City on Sunday, with that day's schedule also including Minnesota at Washington, Orlando at Sacramento, Cleveland at Portland, Memphis at the Lakers, and Milwaukee at Phoenix.
The Bucks have lost nine of their last 10 games against the Suns dating back to 2006, but managed to cover the spread at online sportsbooks such as Bovada in five of those contests. The OVER/UNDER went 5-4-1 in those 10 matchups.
