The Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers will get to know each other well this weekend as they play a home-and-home set on Saturday afternoon and Sunday night in NBA betting action.
The first game of the set will be played in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, with the Lakers looking to pay off as favorites on the NBA betting lines at Bovada's online sportsbook
. Sunday's contest is then in Denver.
Los Angeles struggled in losing its first two games of the season this year to the Bulls and Kings, but bounced back with a 96-71 home win over the Jazz on Tuesday night.
Kobe Bryant scored a team-high 26 points for the Lakers in that contest, with Pau Gasol good for 22 points and nine rebounds. Metta World Peace – the player formerly known as Ron Artest – added 14 points off the bench in that victory.
The Lakers will be playing six games over the first eight days of the regular season; they're also in action on Thursday night at home against New York. The Nuggets will be playing their fourth and fifth games of the year on Saturday and Sunday, and they're 3-2 SU and 2-2-1 ATS in their last five against the Lakers.
Other games on the NBA's schedule for Saturday this week are Indiana at Detroit, Atlanta at Houston, New York at Sacramento, Phoenix at Oklahoma City, Utah at San Antonio, and Philadelphia at Golden State.

The Clippers also highlight Friday's NBA betting slate at Bovada's online sportsbook, as they'll host the Bulls in the night's marquee matchup of Chris Paul vs. Derrick Rose. The Clippers are 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five vs. Chicago.
