Thunder set to roll into NBA betting slate

With five wins in five games this season the Oklahoma City Thunder will try to keep the victories coming early this week with matchups against the Mavericks and Trail Blazers on Monday and Tuesday.

The Thunder are 5-0 straight up but just 2-3 against the spread at Bovada's online sportsbook heading into their game in Dallas on Monday night. Oklahoma City already beat Dallas once this season, winning 104-102 at home last Thursday.

Oklahoma City, though, failed to cover as a 5-point home favorite in that OVER result, putting them at 4-6 straight up and versus the NBA betting lines in the past 10 meetings between the teams.

Kevin Durant had a big game for the Thunder in that win over Dallas, pouring in 30 points while also collecting 11 rebounds and six assists. Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka each scored 16 points for Oklahoma City that day. Dirk Nowitzki tossed in 29 points and added 10 rebounds in that defeat for the Mavericks.

The Thunder will then be right back in action on Tuesday night this week with a home game against the Portland Trail Blazers. There are six other games on the NBA's betting slate at Bovada's online sportsbook for Tuesday, with Charlotte at Cleveland, Atlanta at Chicago, Sacramento at Memphis, Milwaukee at Utah, and Houston at the Lakers.

After hosting the Rockets the Lakers will head out on the road for Thursday night as they take on the Trail Blazers in Portland. The Blazers have played the Lakers tough over the past couple of seasons, going 5-5 straight up and 6-4 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between the clubs.

Thursday's schedule also features Miami at Atlanta, Dallas at San Antonio, and Milwaukee at Sacramento, while notable matchups on a busy Wednesday NBA betting slate this week are Indiana at Miami, Phoenix at Dallas, Chicago at Detroit, and Houston at the Clippers.

Along with the Thunder/Mavericks matchup on Monday other games also include Atlanta at Miami, New Orleans at Utah, Toronto at New York, and Milwaukee at Denver.
